SSC stands for Staff Selection Commission. SSC conducts different exam i.e SSC CGL, SSC MTS, SSC CHSL, SSC CPO…… These examinations need different qualifications. 

Combined Graduate Level Examination (SSC CGL) is an exam conducted by Staff Selection Commission (SSC) for the recruitment of staff to different posts in departments, ministers and organizations of the Government of India. It is regulated by the Staff Selection Commission for choosing staff for different Group B and Group C posts. The assessment for SSC CGL is led in online mode, which has fundamentally four phases or Tiers specifically Tier I – Preliminary test, Tier II-Mains Exam, Tier III-Descriptive Paper followed by Tier IV-Skill test.

Candidate must be a citizen of India.

Academic Qualification

Candidates should have a graduate degree on or before 01.08.2020. Candidates who are in the final year of graduation can also apply for SSC CGL along with their provisional degrees.

Assistant Audit/Accounts Office- Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University OR

Desirable Qualification: CA/CS/MBA/Cost &

Management Accountant/ Masters in Commerce/

Masters in Business Studies

Junior Statistical Officer- Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized University

with minimum 60% in Mathematics in Class 12th

OR

Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with Statistics as one of the subjects in graduation.

HOW TO FILL SSC CGL 2020 FORM

  • Step 1: Registration- Candidates need to complete the registration by entering his/her e-mail ID, phone number and password. (if You already registered then no need to register again)
  • Step 2:  Now you have to sign in on ssc portal. You will find their SSC CGL 2020 notification.
  • Step 3: Now click on the apply button and fill all details.
  • Step 4: Now You have to pay application fee. (If you are female or sc/st then you not need to pay any fee. )

On successful completion of these steps, take out the print out for future preferences along with the application form.

SSC CGL 2020 Exam Pattern

SSC CGL 2020 is a computer-based examination (CBT).  SSC CGL Prelims/ Tier-I exam consists of objective type questions which comprise of 4 sections, with 100 questions that need to attempt in 1 hour. Each question will carry 2 marks which makes a total of 200 marks.

Stage 2 – Mains Exam

Candidates who qualify the cut-off score in the Prelims exam will be called for the SSC CGL Mains/Tier II exam. There are four sections in this Tier with 100 questions which account for a total of 200 marks which are required to be answered in 2 hours.

  • Paper-1 and Paper-2 are mandatory for all posts.
  • Paper-3 is only for the post of “Statistical Investigator Gr. II” & “Compiler”
  • Paper-4 is only for the post of “Assistant Audit Officer”   
  • There will be negative marking in SSC CGL 2020 Tier 2 exam.   
  • One wrong answer to a question will deduct 0.5 marks in Paper-1,3,4 and 0.25 marks in Paper-2.
