What is gate exam?
GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. This is an examination which opens the gateway to public organizations and in the field of research. GATE is an All-India examination administered and conducted in eight zones across the country by the GATE Committee comprising of Faculty members from IISc, Bangalore and other seven IIT’s on behalf of the National Coordinating Board, Department of Education, Ministry of Human Resources Development. The score may also be used by Public sector units for employment screening purposes.
Gate 2019
This year exam will be conducted by IIT Madras (Indian Institute of Technology, Madras). GATE 2019 exam will be organized for 24 papers (streams) instead of 23 papers. The new paper is Statistics (Subject code: ST). The GATE 2019 exam conducted on the following dates – 02nd, 03rd, 09th, and 10th February 2019. The GATE 2019 exam will be a computer-based exam of 3 hours duration. It will consist of 65 questions of 100 marks.
